"Faces of Loss, Faces of Hope" started a monthly writing challenge. I thought It was a great idea to share my feelings for fellow angel mommies, as well as those searching for answers.
November’s topic: It’s easy to focus on all the negative things that come from losing a baby, but have you discovered any ‘blessings in disguise’ throughout your journey? What can you find to be thankful for related to your loss?
Although I will never find the loss of Preslie a blessing, many blessings have come from our loss. One of the biggest blessings has been our daughter Arista. We appreciate her so much, and don't take anything for granted because we know how precious and short this life is.
We have been blessed with support. Support from all over the world, to bring our second daughter safely into this world. People we don't even know were praying for us, and offering their love during a long and anxious pregnancy.
We have been blessed to help others. Through our loss we have met many many other parents who have gone through similar situations we have, and together we have prayed and encouraged each other.
The biggest blessing that has come from our loss, is knowing we have a guardian angel watching over us. We have someone to greet us when we cross over to the other side. We have a daughter that is perfect, and we will be able to raise her someday in a perfect world. This knowledge has blessed us with the faith to have hope and to love more.
We are thankful for our daughter Preslie. Although our time with her was cut short, we will see her again!
